Paramount denied this claim based on a determination that an assignment of benefits was needed from the patient.

Convergent directly addressed this matter with Paramount and talked through the various underlying issues which could support this unusual denial, or otherwise necessitate the provision of an assignment of benefits. After these discussions, bolstered by Convergent’s offer of additional documentation verifying that this claim was in fact payable without any need for additional information, Paramount agreed to overturn the denial without further delay and proceeded with the processing of the claim accordingly.

As a result, Paramount promptly issued payment in the amount of $398,313.78 on this claim in full and final resolution of the matter.
