Our goal at Convergent Outsourcing is to be as transparent as possible. Learn more about our process:
The easiest way to pay off your debt is to use our online payment portal. However, if you need to work out a payment plan or have another issue with your debt, you'll need to call one of our representatives at 1-800-444-8485. Click here for instructions on how to pay by mail.
If you feel like there is some issue with the amount you owe or you believe you have already paid this debt, please file a dispute with us by calling us or using our online form.
If you believe the debt we have contacted you about is not yours or invalid, please contact us online or call 1-800-444-8485 and our representatives will be more than happy to assist you. Our agents can provide you with detailed account information after you verify your identity. Please be advised our company can't disclose account specific information without following guidelines of the FDCPA, various state laws, and other government regulations. Learn how to get account info over the phone.
If you still believe the debt to be invalid after being provided account specific information from one of our representatives, our company will be more than happy to file a dispute or fraud claim (if found necessary) on your behalf.
In our company’s experience, we find some consumers don’t recognize debt as a result of company name changes. In this scenario the company you originally incurred the debt with has gone through a name change, or has been acquired by a larger company. If you didn’t recognize the debt for this reason, the debt will most likely still be considered legitimate.
We do not require that you pay off the debt you owe all at once, and we do not want you to pay more than you are able to at any one time. At your request, one of our representatives can create a reasonable, automated custom payment plan for you. Call us at 1-800-444-8485 to negotiate a lower lump sum payment or a payment plan.
If you owe for an unpaid debt, you can often negotiate a lower lump-sum payment or a payment plan with the collections agency. Learn more about the pros and cons of debt negotiation and how to negotiate with a collection agency.
If you cannot afford to pay your debt in one payment, our representatives will work with you to setup a payment plan. At this time, we can only discuss payment plans over the phone. Convergent Outsourcing makes every attempt to set up viable payment options within our constraints. Please call us at 1-800-444-8485.
Convergent generates proof of payment after your payment has posted, which means that it has cleared your bank and our bookkeeping department, typically this happens within 2 weeks of payment. If you have a valid email address on file with us, you will receive a password-protected receipt via email. Convergent is required to password lock receipts due to housing sensitive information.
If there is no email on file, the consumer will be mailed a copy of their receipt. The consumer can also call and request a copy to be sent to their physical address or their email.
If you haven’t received proof of payment within two weeks, please check your junk/spam box in your email to make sure it doesn’t appear there. If you are unsure whether we have your current information, call us to confirm that your email and mailing address are correct and request any necessary corrections.
Convergent Outsourcing and its agents are not credit specialists. To obtain this information, it’s best to contact the applicable credit bureau instead. We do send updates to all applicable credit reporting agencies for some clients weekly; we also request that they update a consumer’s credit report to reflect any payments. However, there may be instances where credit reporting agencies take a few weeks to provide updates. If you have questions about how making a payment will affect your credit score specifically, we encourage you to contact the credit bureau
If you have questions or need to make a change to your account
