CB Accounts, Inc.

CB Accounts, Inc. (CBA), an AHC affiliate, provides high quality third party collection services to meet the unique needs of healthcare providers. We know that we are viewed as an extension of your collection process and consistently emphasize the sensitivity and professionalism required of our employees when representing you. CBA’s sterling record with State and Federal regulatory bodies and consistent emphasis on full compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is evidence of our success in this regard.

Primary Bad Debt

CB Accounts’ (CBA) bad debt collection services help providers recover on bad debt accounts after internal collection efforts are exhausted. Our collection specialists assist providers in accelerating cash flow, while maintaining positive patient relations.

Primary and Secondary Debt Collection

Typically these accounts are 120 days delinquent or greater at time of placement, with liquidity dependent on demographics, type of patient account, and whether debt is primary, secondary, or pre-collection. Pre-Collection and Payment Contract Monitoring Programs are available and can be customized to each hospital’s needs.

Operations

Accounts are retrieved, loaded, and processed on the CBA system within 24 hours of placement and managed in a HIPAA and FDCPA Compliant environment. Accounts are assigned to dedicated teams based on hospital, dollar balance, and type of engagement:

  • Low Fee Teams
  • Large Balance Teams
  • Small Balance Teams
  • Secondary Placement Teams
  • Payment Contract Monitoring Teams
  • Pre-collection Placement Teams

Custom reports are prepared per hospital’s direction, at hospital’s desired intervals.

Collection Tools

We provide by mail, credit card and electronic debit payment options. All payment arrangements and settlement offers are negotiated and monitored per hospital guidelines.

We use predictive dialer and call recording technology to maintain productivity and deploy sophisticated skip tracing capabilities to locate debtors. All notices are ACA approved and FDCPA compliant. CBA reports to all three major credit bureaus: Trans Union, Equifax, Experian.

We will pursue litigation pursued at hospital’s discretion and have an extensive network of local CBA-managed attorneys available.
